Welcome Back Speech Wizards!
8/6/2018
I hope every one of you had a fantastic summer filled with fun and adventure! For new families, I am very excited to get to know you and your child’s needs in order to give him/her the support they need to be successful this school year. For returning families, I am looking forward to another great year of continued progress in both the therapy room and classroom.
I have spent the past month collaborating with your child’s teacher on scheduling and curriculum planning to ensure that your child has the best opportunities to meet his/her goals. Over the course of the year I will work on a variety of goals to support and improve your child’s speech and language. We will seek to improve our ability to articulate our thoughts clearly, both verbally and in writing. In addition we will be working on the level of reading comprehension with emphasis on deeper thinking. Furthermore we will work on appropriate conversational shifts, effective expression of language in social and academic situations, and age appropriate articulation. I encourage all families to be active in their child’s learning. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or would like to schedule a conference you can contact me via phone at (225) 926-5421 or via email at [email protected]. I look forward to working with you this year!

Merry Christmas!
12/24/2017
Merry Christmas (Eve) to each of our wonderful families! This year has truly been wonderful and I have enjoyed all the time spent with the students, staff, and families at WHAM. If Santa has seen half of what I have seen from my students he is sure to bring gifts galore!
Happy Thanksgiving!
